Embodied memory refers to the idea that memories are not solely stored in the brain but are also deeply integrated into the body's sensory and motor systems. It suggests that our physical experiences, emotions, and bodily sensations are interconnected with memory formation and retrieval.
Sensory access needs refer to the accommodations and considerations required to ensure equitable participation and inclusion for individuals with diverse sensory experiences. Sensory processing differences or disabilities can impact one's ability to engage with the world.


- To value the time of preparation: Importance of Nutrition ( be sure that there is always nutrition available).

- Value conversations and discussions with the visitors

- Value each other's pace, some need flexibility and slowness in times of preparation.

- Value the time between hosts and artworks. Getting to know the artworks and how to care for them.

- Make space for each other's difficulties by talking about them and finding solutions.

- Value each other's needs.

- Give each other time - always - to take care of ourselves and have a break.

- We value each other's time with mindful scheduling and clear agreements.

- We collectively care for the process.

- We have the right to privacy; each person is welcome to share as much or little as they feel comfortable with.

- We make space for slowness and contemplation.

- Making a sensory-care kit.







Meditation:

You may take off your shoes if you like. How do your feet feel today? Do they feel awake and ready to carry you? Are they tired from the week or from your journey here?

Spend a moment with any sensation you may feel. If it feels comfortable to you, try alternating a few times between standing on your tippy toes and your heels. Now take a minute, or two, to slowly walk through the space.

Choose a spot in the showroom that you find visually interesting. it can be open of the artworks, a piece of the architecture of the building or an aspect of the scenography.

What is it that attracts you to it? Is it colour, shape, angles, texture...? Spend some time exploring it.

I wonder if you discover something new from a different perspective. If you like, lay down or stand tall, move behind or in between to get a different view. you may also move as close or far away as possible.
